The PS3 console is one of the top three gaming consoles in the market
(others are the Xbox 360 and Nintendo's Wii) each appealing to a different
fan base. In this article I will be discussing why buy PS3 console.

1. HDTV Compatible
The console supports the following screen resolution 480i, 480p, 720p,
1080i and 1080p which is more than any other console in the market. The PS3 console can
be connected to your HDTV via the HDMI output that comes with the console.

2. Blu-Ray Disc Drive
If you are a lover of Blu-ray movies then you should consider buying PS3
console. In fact the PS3 console is the only console that currently
supports Blu-Ray technology in the market.
The advantage is that you can play Blu-Ray movies and require less
discs for your video games.

3. Game Titles
Another reason you should buy PS3 console is the variety of titles to
choose from as compared with other gaming consoles. Though the Xbox 360
similarly has a broader game titles, the games are more hardcore focus
while Wii titles tends towards family entertainment. Please note that there
is no backward compatibility for PS2 games on the PS3 slim console versions.

You can do a lot of great multimedia stuff with the slim version of the

Okay it might not be as sophisticated as Xbox Live however if you are not
a hardcore gamer, the PlayStation Network is more than sufficient.
